Star wheel and corrugated dressers
with a cast steel
handle
How to use star
wheel and corrugated dressers:
*Hook the tip of the base onto the work-plate.
*The
cutters will be held parallel to the side of the grinding stone
and than be put into contact with the grinding stone
in rotation by lifting the handle of the dresser.
*The dressing operation must
not produce any sparks.
*The
dressing operation with star wheel and corrugated dressers is not
very precise and not to be recommended for stones for
surface grinding and sharpening. |

The working
surface of stones destined to grind «piece in hand»
can be maintained with a dressing stone.
Apply the dressing
stone on the side of the grinding stone in rotation and give it
a translation movement left/right.
A surface grinding or sharpening
stone will be dressed with a diamond
or with the Rondor dressing
tool presented on page 100 |
